A message from the San Jose Senior Squadron 80 Commander:
The Fourth of July this year is unique from any of those I’ve celebrated both pre- and post- naturalization as a US Citizen back in April 2007. The nation and the world is in the grip of a massive pandemic, civil unrest relating to the principal that all peoples are created equal, and political divisiveness on a scale unseen in recent history. The history of this nation is not written by the politicians but by each individual willing to serve a purpose beyond themselves, to advance the rights of marginalized groups, and to sacrifice a part of themselves for another.
Your service in Civil Air Patrol and your other endeavors are a testament to who you are, and I am proud to serve with each and every one of you.
